Our menus are a labor of love – a love of the finest foods. We proudly serve a large array of local artisan products.  Organic is important to us, but more importantly we believe in all natural products without the use of steroids, growth hormones, and animals raised responsibly.  As well as our preference for products and practices that are sustainable, we try to embrace the idea of localism to strengthen our community.   Most of our items are priced under $20 which is incredible considering the high quality of products we serve.  Our passion for the seasons and what it brings to us in food keeps us always searching for great new combinations.  Come join us for a journey in cuisine.

Go fish….sustainably.

It’s no secret that the world’s fish stocks are enormously stressed and that securing high-quality, sustainable seafood can be expensive and complicated. The Monterey Bay Aquarium’s seafood guides are helpful in charting a course for sustainable menu offerings.

James Republic Seafood Ethos

Some types of mackerel, sardines, and other more pungent fish, for instance, are relatively plentiful. But while the notion of a sardine sandwich is extremely far-fetched, it’s not impossible to imagine toying with various marinades, seasonings, spices, and herbs to neutralize or offset the more “provocative” flavor qualities of certain species. A successful result could enable us to develop fish sandwiches, seafood salads, and other menu items that will work well for you, while keeping our sustainable seafood ethos.
